Vladyslav Sushko

Vladyslav Sushko is a principal economist at the Monetary and Economic Department of the BIS. Before taking up his current assignment, he worked as a senior economist at the BIS Representative Office in Hong Kong SAR, and as an economist in the secretariat of the Committee on the Global Financial System. He completed his PhD in International Economics at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he is also a research affiliate at the Center for Analytical Finance. Previously, he developed forecasting models for a major credit card company, worked on consulting projects for the World Bank and held visiting positions at the University of Tokyo and the Institute of Innovation Research at Hitotsubashi University.
