The Asia Office conducts engagement and outreach activities with central banks and other stakeholders while supporting BIS Management engagements and representation in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, the Asia Office organises, facilitates and participates in conferences, seminars, workshops, forums and networks to strengthen collaboration between the BIS and central banks in the region.
The Asia Office also promotes outreach on macroeconomic, financial market and digital innovation issues to a broader range of stakeholders, including through joint events with international cooperation initiatives such as the Executives' Meeting of East Asia-Pacific Central Banks (EMEAP), South East Asian Central Banks (SEACEN) Research and Training Centre, and other international organisations.
