About banking services
When the Bank for International Settlements opened its doors in Basel on 17 May 1930, the provision of “facilities for international financial operations” was written into its statutes. Today, banking services remain an important part of our overall mission to promote financial stability and international monetary and financial cooperation.
Our services are specifically designed to assist central banks, monetary authorities and international organisations. Around 200 customers currently make use of our services.
