The Asian Consultative Council (ACC) is an advisory committee to the BIS Board and Management on activities and engagement with central banks in the region. The ACC was established in 2001 and currently comprises the Governors of 13 BIS member central banks Asia-Pacific: Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
The Asia Office supports the work of the ACC, including its interactions with the broader BIS community, as well as on strategic issues related to BIS activities and central bank cooperation and engagement.
Michele Bullock, Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia, was appointed Chair of the Asian Consultative Council for a two-year term starting 11 May, 2026.
