Gabor Pinter joined the BIS in 2023. His policy work and research focus on the interaction between financial markets and the macroeconomy. His work has been published in academic journals, including the American Economic Review, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics and Review of Financial Studies. Prior to his current position, Gabor was a Senior Adviser at the Bank of England. He obtained his doctorate from the University of Cambridge in 2013.
