Karamfil joined the Financial Markets unit after completing his PhD in finance at the London School of Economics in 2020. Before that, he worked in the financial industry and participated in several projects with central banks and the IMF. He works in empirical asset pricing, institutional investors with a focus on ETFs, macro-finance and fixed income. His research has been published in top finance journals like the Journal of Financial Economics and featured in interviews and articles in the financial press including The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Bloomberg.
