Climate change and green finance

Climate change has wide ranging economic and financial implications.

The BIS supports central banks' and financial authorities' work through its own analytical work and banking services, the projects of the BIS Innovation Hub, and the activities of BIS committees and hosted associations. The BIS and its committees also participate in external forums, such as the Network of Central Banks and Supervisors for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) and the Sustainable Insurance Forum (SIF).
