Beju Shah

Head of the BIS Toronto Innovation Centre

Beju Shah was appointed in February 2025 as Head of the Toronto Innovation Centre, effective 1 August 2025. Since 2022, he has led the Innovation Hub's Nordic Centre, where he was in charge of initiatives related to cyber security and cyber resilience, financial crime prevention, the future of money and payments, and artificial intelligence. Before joining the BIS, he worked at the Bank of England for 10 years in various roles, leading on large data, technology and business transformation programmes. A UK national, he holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Manchester.
