Ilaria Mattei joined the BIS in February 2020, and since then she has supported a variety of research projects related to payments and financial innovations. Previously, Ilaria worked in the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs at the European Commission and before that, in the Analytical Credit and Master Data division at the ECB. Ilaria holds an MSc in Economic and social sciences from Bocconi University.
