Denise contributes with the FSI in areas related to digital innovation in financial services, including digital payments, cryptoassets, cloud computing, insurtech and suptech. She shares responsibility for managing the BIS Fintech Repository (FinRep) platform. In addition, she leads the IAIS subgroup on distributed ledger technology (DLT) and represents the BIS in the IAIS Fintech Forum. Previously, she held a number of positions in regulatory, supervisory and international affairs at the Insurance and Surety National Commission of Mexico. Denise holds a master's degree in Blockchain and Digital Currencies from the University of Nicosia and an honours degree in Administration from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
