Codruta joined the BIS in August 2016. Before taking up her current assignment in 2021, she was working with the secretariat supporting the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures. She has worked before at the Financial Stability Surveillance Division of the European Central Bank and also been a visiting researcher at the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies. Codruta holds a Master of Research in Economics (MRes) from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
