BIS Innovation Summit 2025: Future-proofing central banks

The BIS Innovation Summit is the annual flagship event of the BIS Innovation Hub, convening central bankers, regulators, technology leaders and academics to explore how innovation is reshaping the future of finance. Now in its fifth edition, the 2025 Summit took place from 9 to 11 September at the BIS Tower in Basel, Switzerland.
This year's theme, "Future-proofing central banks", focused on how institutions can adapt and stay resilient in the face of rapid technological change. From the potential of AI and quantum computing to shifting talent needs and new approaches to risk, the Summit explored what central banks need to stay ahead.
