Thomas supported the G20-mandated cross-border payments programme, specifically the work on FX settlement risk and the CPMI's cooperation with SWIFT on analysing payments data. He also supported the expert group on payment system liquidity analysis. Previously, Thomas worked at Danmarks Nationalbank as an economist focusing on analysis of large-value payment systems, including liquidity stress testing and designing tools for monitoring liquidity flows. He holds an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Copenhagen.
