Pablo de Carvalho serves as a member of the secretariat for the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. He supports the Committee's work on climate-related financial risks and supervisory cooperation. Previously, he worked at the Central Bank of Brazil, focusing on the implementation of the Basel III framework and on other prudential regulatory initiatives. Pablo also previously worked in risk management. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a master's in public sector economics from the Universidade de Brasília, and a PhD in finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
