Jonathan Kearns joined the BIS in 2014 from the Reserve Bank of Australia, where he was head of the Economic Analysis Department. He was previously head of the Economic Research Department and deputy head of the Domestic Markets Department. He has a PhD from MIT and a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from the Australian National University.
