Jesse Johal joined the BIS in September 2020 as a visiting economist. Prior to the BIS, he worked as a senior economist in the Financial Markets Department of the Bank of Canada. He holds a MA in economics from the University of Waterloo (2009) and a BA in economics from The University of British Columbia.
