Fredy joined the BIS in September 2024 as a visiting economist. At the Central Bank of Colombia, he worked as a researcher in the Monetary and International Investments Division. His research focuses on monetary policy, exchange rates, capital flows, international trade and macroeconometrics. He was a Professor in Macroeconomics at the School of Economics of Rosario University in Bogotá. He holds a PhD in Economics from Warwick University, United Kingdom, and a Msc degree in Economics and Econometrics from Essex University.
