The statistics published by the BIS are a unique source of information about the structure of and activity in the global financial system. Most of the data sets rely on national statistics as communicated to the BIS by central banks and other national authorities and are compiled in cooperation with them.
The use of the statistics is unrestricted, provided that:
No other use is permissible.
The BIS reserves the right to alter these terms at any time.
The BIS provides an application programming interface (API) based on the SDMX RESTful web services specification to facilitate access to the BIS statistics. Documentation about the API can be found here.
Use of the APIs constitutes agreement by users of the APIs ("Users") with the following terms and conditions:
