Professor Velasco presents "Joined at the hip: monetary and fiscal policy in a liquidity-driven world", a paper co-authored with Guillermo Calvo (Columbia University).

Cecilia Skingsley moderates a discussion about efforts under way at central banks worldwide to improve gender diversity, with panellists Andréa M Maechler, Nor Shamsiah Mohd Yunus and Claudia Buch.

Atif Mian speaks about indebted demand, followed by a discussion with Evi Pappa.
The art of central banking in a centrifugal world
This year's lecture was delivered by Mark Carney, former Governor of the Bank of England and the Bank of Canada and former Chair of the Financial Stability Board, on "The art of central banking in a centrifugal world". The lecture has been followed by a panel discussion moderated by BIS General Manager Agustín Carstens.
