Prior to joining the secretariat of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, Rebeca Anguren worked at the Bank of Spain as Senior Economist, holding various roles in international financial market analysis, financial stability and prudential policy, including as Head of the Division for Global Prudential Policy and Impact Analysis. She graduated with honours from the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares (extraordinary prize and highest grades) and holds a master's degree in economics and finance from CEMFI.
