John is a Senior Economist at the BIS focused on bank and banking system stability. He publishes on bank business models, balance sheet conditions and constraints, and the effects of bank behavior on international financial system risks. Prior to joining the BIS, John conducted similar research at the International Monetary Fund. Before that, he was a bank analyst and investor, based in Asia.
