BIS shares dividend

The Board of Directors of the Bank for International Settlements has decided to propose to the Annual General Meeting to be held on 8th June 1998 the distribution of a dividend of 300 Swiss francs per share for the financial year ended on 31st March 1998.

This dividend will be payable on 1st July 1998 to shareholders registered in the Bank's books as at 20th June 1998.
