5th Biennial Conference on Risk Management and Supervision

The Financial Stability Institute will hold its 5th Biennial Conference on Risk Management and Supervision on 3-4 November 2010 in Basel, Switzerland. The conference is open only to banking, securities and insurance supervisors from around the world. It will highlight current innovations in risk management and financial products. Furthermore, it will focus on Basel III and other key supervisory challenges.

Mr Jaime Caruana, General Manager, Bank for International Settlements and Sir David Walker, former Chairman, Morgan Stanley International will deliver addresses focusing on aspects of the recent financial crisis. Mr Jochen Sanio, President, BaFin and Mr Stefan Walter, Secretary General, Basel Committee Secretariat will deliver addresses on financial stability and Basel III. 

High-level speakers from private and public sector institutions will lead discussions and share their extensive knowledge and expertise. As in the past, in addition to providing useful information, this conference will offer a platform for supervisors to meet and discuss a variety of important issues.

The FSI would like to offer institutions the possibility to nominate more than one person to participate in the conference. Registration form/s should be submitted no later than 22 October 2010.
