Rodrigo Barbone Gonzalez

Rodrigo Barbone Gonzalez joined the BIS as a visiting economist in August 2018. He worked at the Central Bank of Brazil from 2003 to 2018 in the Bank Supervision, Regulation, and Economic Research Departments. He is currently the secretary of the Consultative Group of Directors of Operations in the Americas Region. He holds a PhD and a MsC in Finance from Universidade de Sao Paulo (USP), and has been a visiting scholar at Columbia University and Universidad Pompeu Fabra.
