Jieun Lee
Jieun Lee joined the BIS as a visiting economist from the Bank of Korea in November 2022. She also visited the BIS headquarters in Basel as a Central Bank Research Fellow in 2019. She worked as an economist at the Economic Research Institute (2012–2019) and the Monetary Policy Department (2020–2022) of the Bank of Korea. During her time at the Bank of Korea, she wrote policy papers on issues related to monetary policy, macroprudential policy, financial stability, financial markets and market microstructure, and conducted analyses for monetary policy committee decisions. Jieun holds a PhD in Finance from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
