Frederic Boissay joined the BIS on 1 January 2016 from the Financial Research Division of the European Central Bank. He holds a PhD and MPhil in economics from the Paris School of Economics and a MPhil in econometrics from the Paris Graduate School of Economics, Statistics, and Finance (ENSAE).
