Annual Economic Report

The Annual Economic Report is the BIS's main economic review of the year. It presents commentary on the global economy and outlines policy challenges. Since 2018 the BIS has published its Annual Report (on BIS activities and financial performance) and the Annual Economic Report as separate titles.

  • To be released on 23 June: A special chapter of our Annual Economic Report will explore how digital innovation is transforming finance – creating opportunities, posing challenges and raising questions on how to preserve trust in money.
  • To be released on 28 June: Our Annual Economic Report will examine how the global economy is faring as progress meets rising perils – including a new fiscal–financial stability nexus and shifting inflation dynamics.
