Ramon Moreno

Head of Economics for Latin America and the Caribbean

Ramon Moreno became the Head of Economics for Latin America and the Caribbean in June 2010, after an extended period as Head of Emerging Markets. Prior to joining the BIS, he was Research Advisor in the International Studies Section and Associate Director, Center for Pacific Basin Monetary and Economic Studies, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, and before that served in various capacities with the UN Development Programme. Mr Moreno has a PhD and MPhil in economics from Columbia University.
