Applying for jobs at the BIS
The application process is entirely online, and consists of a brief registration form to which you attach your CV in English. Once the deadline has passed for a vacancy, we consider all CVs and then contact short-listed candidates. As a rule, we do not notify unsuccessful applicants.
As part of the interview process, you will receive more specific information about your potential role at the Bank and additional details about the working environment.
The BIS interview
Once you have passed the initial CV review, we will invite you for interview. This is often a day-long process, during which you will meet your future line manager and colleagues, have a chance to demonstrate your suitability for the position, and learn about life at the BIS to help you decide whether this is the right move for you.

The BIS job offer process
It can be stressful awaiting a decision on a new job, and with this in mind we will try to make our selection as quickly as possible. However, this can still take up to a month, as we are likely to consider candidates from all over the world, with interviews being arranged over different days.
As a general rule, employment at the BIS is initially offered on the basis of a one- to three-year fixed-term contract.
