I took up my current position in November 2012, after having been Chief Representative in the Representative Office for the Americas of the BIS, based in Mexico City since 2002.
Previously, I worked for three years as Head of Secretariat to the "Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems "(CPSS) and of the "Central Bank Counterfeit Deterrence Group" (CBCDG) at BIS Monetary and Economic Department in Basel, Switzerland. In this function, I was also a member of the International Advisory Council for the World Bank's "Western Hemisphere Initiative".
Prior to this, I was Head of Legal Research and International Cooperation in the Legal Service of the BIS. I joined the BIS and the Legal Service in 1984
