Analyses developments in emerging markets and the global economy, organises central bank meetings on monetary policy and financial stability issues. From 1990-1999, Economist and senior economist in Fiscal Affairs, European and Asian Departments of the IMF in Washington DC. Assistant research fellow at the Economics Institute in Zagreb (1982-89). Studied economics at the University of Pittsburgh (PhD, 1990); University of Minnesota (MA, 1986); and University of Zagreb (BA, 1981).
