2009 Research Workshop on Monetary Policy in Open Economies: Call for Papers

 

Monetary Policy in Open Economies Workshop in Sydney, Australia, 14-15 December 2009.

 

The organisers invite contributions in all areas of economics relevant to monetary policy, and particularly:

1. Fiscal and monetary policies when interest rates are at, or close to, the zero lower bound, including balance sheet and debt management considerations.

Papers might address the interplay of different policies and discuss practical issues, including possible open economy dimensions.

2. Modelling financial stability.

Papers might address

a. macroeconomic models of banking and credit interactions, including micro-founded models of financial stability; or

b. the role of asset prices for financial stability and monetary policy.
